California’s state flower, the brilliant California Poppy can be found blooming in the wild every spring, in fields and farms throughout California. One of the most abundant displays, however, is in Lancaster, Calif., where the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve hosts the annual California Poppy Festival.
Every April, the city of Lancaster hosts the annual California Poppy Festival, a family friendly event highlighting California’s celebrated wildflower, with a festival line up of more than one hundred activities and exhibitors.
California Poppy Festival Events
California Science Center Desert Dome and Stellarium Learn about the ecology and desert habitats of the Mojave Desert in the inflatable Desert Dome, complete with interactive displays for children. The Stellarium displays distant planets, constellations and star buy aciphex online systems, in an immersive dome environment.
Live entertainment is available all day long on four different stages, including the Adventure Zone, which features animal performances, such as stunt dog demonstrations, birds in flight, and a dog and sheepherding show.

The festival will also feature demonstrations and open houses from many of the cutting-edge aerospace companies that make their home in the Antelope Valley.
La Petit Cirque
This unique take on Cirque du Soleil features an all-kid cast, ranging in age from 7-14. Starring some of the top aerial/circus arts in the country, these show have amazed audiences worldwide with its gravity-defying performances.
Other activities and event include an arts & crafts fair, a floral gardening display, a Living Healthy Pavilion, and the Taste of Lancaster, a special sampling of the Antelope Valley’s finest restaurants.
