The El Portal Sedona Hotel, in partnership with MasterCard and Visa, has teamed up with local animal charity, High Country Puppy Rescue, a Flagstaff, Arizona-based organization that rescues puppies from neglectful or abusive situations, and fosters them out to volunteers in order to relieve pressure from shelters and pounds.
When guests stay at the El Portal Sedona Hotel and use either their MasterCard or Visa, the credit card companies will donate a portion of the fees to the High Country Puppy Rescue.
El Portal owner Steve Segner is no stranger to animal organizations. Before he was the owner of El Portal Sedona Hotel, Segner was a the owner of a number of pet stores, and during that time, served as the President of the World Wide Pet Association for three years.
