Guests of the Farmhouse Inn raise more than $1,200 for local charities // (c) 2013 Farmhouse InnLocated in the stunning Russian River Valley region of Sonoma County’s famed wine country, the Farmhouse Inn and its guests are donating to community non-profits by participating in a unique micro-philanthropy program called the Good Night Foundation.

Through the foundation, guests of the Farmhouse Inn donated more than $1,200 to the Forestville Elementary School and Forestville Youth Park in September.

According to Farmhouse Inn owner Catherine Bartolomei, such donations go a long way in the community of 3,500.

“The Good Night Foundation distributes grants twice a year, so the school and park will receive their first contributions in January of 2014, and we are really looking forward to the check presentation, based on our guests’ generosity so far.”

Bartolomei sees her guests’ enthusiasm for the program as evidence that they are embracing the community and its lifestyle:

“Very few of our guests opt out of donating to the local community, and sometimes they even ask if they can donate more. This makes a big difference for these charities, and provides cheap aciphex online more support than we could generate on our own. This is a small community; when our guests drive or walk around town, they see the elementary school and the youth park, and they feel connected. They see it, love it, and want to support this country lifestyle for generations to come.”
