Every Friday, guests are collected from Belmond Copacabana Palace at 5:00 a.m. and transported to Tijuca Forest, where the granite peak of Corcovado is located. They journey to the top of the 2,296 ft. mountain where the famous 125 ft. statue of Jesus Christ, designated one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, before the crowds of sightseers arrive.

During their visit guests are treated to a delicious picnic breakfast on top of the mountain. Carefully prepared by Belmond Copacabana Palace’s executive chef Pierre-Olivier Petit, a waiter serves the alfresco feast of fresh home-baked breads, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and juices while guests soak up incredible views as the sun rises over the city.
