Developed specifically as romantic getaway for two, the newly debuted Love in the Lowcountry package incorporates authentic Charleston experiences, including an exclusive ironworking class.
Many of Charleston’s homes, churches, gardens and gates are adorned in elaborate and iconic ironwork dating back to the city’s origination. During the class, couples can learn this celebrated art form of the Lowcountry and create a commemorative piece that will serve as a long lasting memory of their Charleston visit.
Additionally, the package includes a Rivers and Rice Plantations Blackwater Kayaking Paddle Trip. Here, couples can paddle through beautiful, historic rice plantations, left untouched for over 300 years, and traverse Blackwater creeks through abandoned rice fields full of wetland wildflowers. During the excursion, it is not uncommon to witness raptors, where can you buy valtrex wading birds and an occasional alligator.
Located driving distance from downtown Charleston, Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination Hotel, offers the “best of both worlds,” pairing a beach getaway with the offerings of historic Charleston. While on property, couples can enjoy resort amenities such as championship golf, 17 tennis courts, watersports, nature excursions, spa services, resort-wide pools and delicious dining options. Guests can also take advantage of the many offerings of downtown Charleston including historic walking tours, carriage tours, shopping on King St., the Historic Charleston Market, plantation experiences and a year-round calendar of festivals and events.
Available through Feb. 28, the Love in the Lowcountry package starts at $480 per night, based on double occupancy, and includes three nights accommodation in the resort’s AAA Four-Diamond Village at Wild Dunes or Boardwalk Inn.
